This exercise focuses on using orange & yellow "warm" colours and a "cool" blue colour to create dramatic effect.

Paints: acrylics, student grade by:
by Liquitex Basics, Amsterdam, Grumbacher Academy, Winsor & Newton Galeria 

Titanium white, mars black, cerulean blue, yellow ochre,  tiny tub of left over green paint, cadmium yellow light.

 Brushes & Tools:

  • #3 angular, #6 pointed filbert,   3/4" flat brush for background
  • Disposable waxed paper palette sheet





Surface or Support:  

  • Mont Marte brand.  Medium-heavy canvas sheets, cut to size; fixed to a clipboard with masking tape, so no buckling or warping.
