Paints: acrylics, student grade by:

by Liquitex Basics, Amsterdam, Grumbacher Academy.


  • Dioxazine Purple, Cadmium Orange -  mix to make rich brown
  • Cadmium red light hue, Imidazolone Orange, Primary yellow,
  • Acrylic Gel Painting Medium to mix with paint in making glazes.
  •  Titanium White - use a dot on the yellow sinking sun.








Brushes & Tools:


  • #6 round,  #4 filbert, 3/4" flat brush

  • plastic palette knife for mixing paint,
  • plastic ruler for paint straight edges
  • Triangle ruler for squaring
  • Materson Sta-Wet Palette  
  • Paint brush Cleaner - water tub with brush holder

Surface or Support:  


  • Mont Marte brand.  Medium-heavy canvas sheets, cut to size. No buckling or warping.
