Paints: acrylics, student grade by:

by Liquitex Basics, Amsterdam, Grumbacher Academy.


  • Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow light, Cobalt Blue, Sky Blue Light, Unbleached Titanium, Cadmium Orange, Burnt Sienna, Mars Black
  • Greens:  brilliant yellow green, Hookers green hue permanent, Cadmium green deep, Olive Green Light. I'm don't recall if I used any of these as they weren't called for, but I had them out.







Brushes & Tools:



  • Instructions called for only a #10 round brush
  • but I utilized a 3/4" flat wash, #4 filbert,  #8 round,   #4 flat wisp, 3/8" deerfoot stippler
  • plastic palette knife for mixing paint,
  • plastic ruler for paint straight edges
  • Triangle ruler for squaring
  • Materson Sta-Wet Palette  
  • Paint brush Cleaner - water tub with brush holder

Surface or Support:  


  • Mont Marte brand.  Medium-heavy canvas sheets, cut to size. No buckling or warping.
